The New Year’s resolution – 2 months on…
My New year’s resolution was not to go on a diet or lose weight but to improve my physic/get more toned, improve my skin and wellbeing.
I had decided to do this before Christmas due to having really dry and patchy skin, along with a skiing holiday coming up and a pair of salopettes to fit into.
A friend of mine told me about a new fitness class in Felixstowe that I ought to try called Bokwa. I had never heard of it but she assured me that it was great fun and a really good workout.
I had seen the class on a Facebook status so decided to book up and go.
It was at the Walton community centre, Felixstowe. The first night I was feeling a bit nervous, I had my towel and water bottle at the ready. I went along and low and behold the entrance for the community centre had suddenly moved. I was faced with an entrance hall to a block of flats, when did that happen..
Eventually I found my way in, and all too quickly my nerves where dispelled. The ladies of Fit Fusion Vic & Chantell who took the class were very welcoming . I really enjoyed dancing the letters and grooving the digits, I was hooked.
I became friends with Fit Fusion Felixstowe on Facebook and found that there are a whole of host of classes available in and around the Felixstowe area including Walton and Trimley St Martin with times to suit my hectic schedule. I have since taken up power Pilates, Kettlercise and the Bokwa.
I have always exercised in some shape or form but this was on a whole new level. My fitness has improved immensely from being out of breath and not being able to do all of the jumping in Bokwa to keeping up with the rest of them, thanks to the motivation and enthusiasm of Fit – Fusion.
The good news is I have toned up and can comfortably fit in my salopettes , my skin is in great condition (look out for my next BLOG on how I managed to change this) and I feel fantastic.
I have also signed up to the Flash Mob of Bokwa to be held at the Triangle in Felixstowe Town Centre to help raise monies for one of the members daughter’s who has cystic fibrosis.
